Think outside of the box this year, take a chance, and consider something experiential! Get them a spa visit (could be local) or a visit to the zoo to help behind the scenes. Maybe they would like to take a boxing lesson or dance class. There are so many ideas, besides tickets for a play or movie, how about purchasing a private cooking class or hiring a chef to cook for a small group. I have quite a few people that contact me for a gift certificate to help jumpstart the organizing process, too. There are more ideas in the holiday topic list on this blog. Organizing Photos
August 11th, 2009Are all your photos organized? Are they all in one place? How are they stored? Are they in proper containers? Labeled?
Consider gathering them together first. Then consider categorizing them. This can be done in many ways, by person, chronologically, events, holidays, vacations, etc. Make sure you have enough space to spread out the categories. Lastly, consider good storage and ways to make the project easy to build on as it is ongoing.

Do you realize that half the year is over? That means that we still have half a year to go. It’s time to take stock of our goals for this year and find out where we are and if we are headed in the direction we chose or have taken a detour. Ask these questions as they relate to your personal and professional goals and aspirations. Do you need to step back, slow down, get back on track or maybe take an intentional detour?

LA OfficeMax Peter Walsh System Events
June 13th, 2009Just got back from LA! Had an awesome time launching the new Peter Walsh [In Place] System for OfficeMax. Dorothy and I had a great time sharing the products with all the attendees. Many other Professional Organizers attended including several distinguished founders of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers).
