Dear MR,

Thank you for considering this option in order to reach your client. Sometimes, we need to try different ways. Some people respond to visual cues. If they can relate, it may open the door for them.

Jane.. seeing the pictures of the kitchen you organized
really sunk in. I am currently seeing a client whose kitchen
is really really bad. When I ask her about hiring you she is
too embarrassed to let you or anyone in the door. So we have a lot
of ground work to do before she will open the door, but I think
if I could show her pictures it might help. What do you think?

Hi Joanne,

Thanks for sharing your problem area. To answer your question, consider what the garage should be used for. Make a list of all the requirements and see if you can map out an area for each. Plan it out so that each area can meet the needs of everyone. For example, maybe the gardening area is close to a side door near the garden. Sports can be organized by sport and contained for easy access. If the garage contains seasonal decorations, consider storage that is out of the way since it is only accessed occasionally. You get my point!

Jane:
Our biggest problem area these days is the garage. No matter how often we organize it, after a few weeks it is difficult to walk through the mess to find what you need. What would be a good first step to rethink this area?

I am not really sure if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your great job is clearly identifed. I was wondering if you offer any subscription to your RSS feeds as I would be very interested.

I was just looking for information about this when I came by your post. I'm just stopping by to say that I really enjoyed seeing this post, it's really clear and well written. Are you thinking of writing more about this? It appears like there is more material here for future posts.
